Developing VIEW Clubs
Continuing to grow existing clubs and creating new clubs remains just as important today as it was 55 years ago when a small group of women met at a home in Balgowlah Heights, Sydney with the aim of forming the very first VIEW Club. Within that first year, 26 VIEW Clubs were formed in Sydney and since then, new clubs have been inaugurated across the country each year. Find out more about our history here.
In 2017, we were thrilled to welcome Woollahra VIEW Club in NSW, Dingley Cheltenham VIEW Club in Victoria and Capes VIEW Club in Western Australia.
The early stages of establishing a VIEW Club are always an exciting time with lots of enthusiasm from Development Teams and members of nearby clubs. There are many decisions to be made, from deciding the best venue to hold meetings, to developing ways to attract members from the local community.
Currently, preliminary discussions are underway for potential new clubs in Mosman in Sydney's north, Bathurst in NSW’s Central West, Bairnsdale in Victoria’s east and Springfield to the south of Brisbane.
Interest meetings are being held and contact details are available for each “Soon to be formed” club. These details can be located on our ‘Find a Club’ page.
VIEW members are encouraged to invite friends and colleagues who might be interested in joining a club in any of these areas.
There are more than 300 VIEW clubs throughout Australia. See if there's a Club in your local community!
