Bellinger Valley VIEW Club was formed in 1985.
We are an enthusiastic and friendly group of women who provide support and friendship for each other while promoting the work of The Smith Family. Our club raises funds to proudly sponsor five disadvantaged students on the Smith Family's Learning for Life program. We take pride in hearing about their educational journeys and achievements. A number of members tutor school children with reading at the local primary school. This is greatly appreciated by the school community.

We meet monthly for a luncheon and an enjoyable program which includes a guest speaker or activities around a theme such as our birthday in June or "Christmas in July" celebrations. In addition to our meetings we also enjoy social outings, such as bus trips, morning teas, croquet, soup and slice days, Kegel bowling.
Keep up to date with what is happening around the clubs.
Members Pamela Cook (left) and Lyn Buckley celebrated special birthdays in November and we were delighted to wish them a "Happy Birthday" at our November Meeting 2108 which was a Christmas Celebration with a Beach Theme.
Successful Cake Stall
The Bellinger Valley VIEW Club conducted a street stall on September 8th. It was enjoyable to greet shoppers in Bellingen on a Saturday morning as we sold home made goods such as cakes, jams and biscuits as well as home grown produce. All the money raised goes towards sponsoring our Learning For Life students so that they can obtain a good education.

Melbourne Cup Celebration
What a wonderful Melbourne Cup Day celebration we all had on Tuesday November 6th. Bellinger Valley VIEW Club members and friends gathered to celebrate the excitement of the “race that stops the nation”. The ladies donned straw hats and vied to win first prize, whilst the men did the difficult job of judging. Colleen Monckton won first prize, Gina Troy won second, and Gail Raymond, third.
Winners - Gail on the left, Colleen in the centre, and Gina on the right.
International Women’s Day
On Thursday March 8th the Bellinger Valley VIEW Club hosted a sumptuous morning tea to celebrate International Women’s Day. This event was held at the Cedar Bar and Kitchen in Bellingen and many ladies from the Dorrigo VIEW Club, and other women’s clubs in Bellingen (CWA, Red Cross) also joined us.
Our VIEW Club President, Mrs Gina Troy, opened the celebration by speaking about the main purpose of International Women’s Day which shines a spotlight on the achievements of women, not only in the working world, but also women in the community who are working for a better society.
Our lively and entertaining guest speaker was Karly Lane, author of 12 romantic novels. Karly developed her writing career by setting the themes of her books in the rural life of Australian towns. The publishing world was keen to promote this new genre of rural romantic fiction just as Karly began to submit her manuscripts.
