International Womens Day 2021
Looking pretty in purple, fifteen ladies from our Camden Have Day VIEW club attended an International Women’s Day Lunch at the Golden Inn in Laurieton on March 2. The food was delicious and the company delightful. We raised $64 towards the sponsorship of our Learning for Life students through a raffle. We all had a most enjoyable time together.
We chose to wear purple because purple is the colour of loyalty, constancy to purpose, and unswerving steadfastness to a cause. It is also the colour of dignity and self-respect and signifies bipartisanship.
We wanted to remind ourselves that International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate women’s achievements and to consider how we can make a difference by raising awareness, influencing behaviour, reinforcing commitment, and challenging ourselves and others to make our world a better place - particularly for women, and for the disadvantaged children we sponsor through the Smith Family’s Learning for Life Thank you
2021 February AGM
Camden Haven Day VIEW Club Committee members for 2021 were officially sworn in and welcomed at our AGM on February 15 by our Zone Councillor Carmel Power.
Our club was privileged to enjoy Lee and Joe Maguire's exquisite presentation of Tai Chi and a Fan Dance at our AGM on February 15. They also shared interesting information about the history of fan dancing and how fans had once been used as a weapon!!

Christmas in December 2020
Members enjoyed getting together for their Christmas Party at Laurieton United Services Club on Monday, 7th December. The food was delicious, and several ladies went home with fantastic lucky door prizes. The raffle prizes were awesome as well.
Our brains were challenged as we endeavoured to answer quiz questions about Christmas, and the game Celebrity Heads also provided fun and laughter.
It has been a difficult year with all the Covid 19 restrictions, but it was great to end the year on a positive note spending time together connecting and having fun.

Picnic in November 2020
A few of our club members and partners enjoyed a relaxing picnic at Lake Cathie Foreshore Reserve on Monday, November 23.
The weather turned out to be much more pleasant than anticipated. A lovely cooling breeze and delightful company ensured we enjoyed our time together.
October 2020 Movie Day Out
On Tuesday, October 27, we had a great day out at the Movies. Seventeen ladies enjoyed watching Never Too Late at the lovely Laurieton Plaza Theatre.
The movie had a great story line and we all had a good laugh at some very funny scenes. Following the movie, most of the group strolled across the road to the Village Cafe and had a yummy lunch together. It was so good to venture out and spend time together again.
Looking forward to our next outing, which will be a picnic in the park at Lake Cathie Forshore Reserve.
