Casino VIEW Club held a morning tea Friday 5th April, 17 VIEW members and 13 friends of VIEW. Members brought a plate of food to share. President Carmel Meredith welcomed members and friends and thanked them for all that they do for our local community.
The morning tea was a way to say thank you to all our friends of VIEW who are non members but donate to our club, items are either knitted, sewn, crocheted or give cash donations, these items are donated to the disadvantaged children and families in our area.
Assistant Treasurer Betty Gill who is also our coordinator of goods in kind, spoke about everything that has been donated to us and what items the ladies can make if they wish. Many of the ladies went away quite enthusiastic about what they can now make.
We also invited the men that help us with our Bunnings BBQ'S, tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes and friendship was enjoyed by all who attended.
We also had a raffle, Jean Andrews won first prize, Judy Humphreys won second prize, with raffle and donation box we made $100.

Casino VIEW Had a great afternoon wine, cheese and fashion fundraiser, we raised nearly $800 for the Smith Family while having fun and fellowship. 66 ladies attended the afternoon which was held in the clubhouse at Casino Lifestyle Village. Jan Binskin in charge of the beverages and Pat Jones strutting her stuff down the cat walk.
Casino had another fun day raising funds for The Smith Family at our Bunnings BBQ Lismore, we had five husbands join us which is always a great help on these kind of days, we had many comments on our purple attire which gets everyone talking about VIEW.
Plus we were offered another BBQ for next month as someone had just cancelled.
Casino VIEW had a fun filled fundraising soup, sweets and games day, the day was held at Casino Gateway Lifestyle village, 50 ladies enjoyed playing, disc bowls, croquet, quoits and board games. We started the day with a lovely morning tea, choice of four different soups with yummy crusty bread and a choice of lovely desserts, we had lucky door prizes and raffles and to make it an extra special day we raised $1164, Casino Gateway donated a $100.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day the success that it was.
2017 National VIEW Convention
What an amazing weekend we had at our first VIEW convention, we thought the music at our Bollywood night was great, but the entertainment at the Gala dinner on Saturday night was simply amazing, so many young talented people on the stage.
Music through the ages was brilliant.
