Meet Our 2023 Committee

On Monday 13th February, our Club returned for our first meeting of 2023. It was Election night of our new committee and was chaired by Madge Doust. It was an exciting night for us, as we have changed our venue and are now meeting at the Engadine RSL. We enjoyed a lovely meal, had our elections and played some games hosted by President Barb. Lots of laughs and prizes for the winners.

We wish our new committee all the best for the coming year.

High Tea

Mother's Day

On Tuesday 9th May, a group of our ladies went to Civic Cafe Engadine for a High Tea. We had a lovely morning, and to celebrate Mothers’ Day we were all given a beautiful little pink cake in its own box.

Celebrating Mother's Day

May 2023

On Monday 8th May, our Club celebrated Mothers’ Day at our monthly meeting. President Barb once again decorated our tables beautifully with flowers and chocolate gifts for everyone.

The very talented young singer Elise McLennan entertained us with a huge variety of songs. It was a great, fun night.

Vale Dorothy 2023

It was with great sadness that, on Monday 8th  May, fourteen of our members attended the funeral of a much loved member of our Club. Dorothy Edwards passed away on 23rd April 2023 at age 98. She had been a member of Engadine Evening VIEW for 27 years and served many of them on Committee. She will be sadly missed by us all.

Catching up with Friends

March 2023

During March, a group of ten Members from our Club ( including 2 husbands), had an excellent lunch at the Embark Restaurant at Loftus TAFE.

As always, it was great food, including a nonalcoholic cocktail, handmade bread roll, entree, main, dessert, coffee and cheese plate (including handmade cheese crackers).

We all had a great day catching up with friends.

Christmas Celebrations

2022 December

During December our Club celebrated Christmas with a great night of entertainment and gift giving. Singer Ron Ashton provided lots of fun and laughs for everyone.

It was also our last dinner meeting being held at The Bowling Club. Next year we will be meeting at the RSL Club in Engadine.

Many thanks to our President Barb, who organised another successful, fun night for Members and guests.

Bagz'N'Bitz Fun

2022 November

On Monday 14th November, our Club held a  Bags Party before our monthly meeting. The girls from Bagz’n’Bitz had a magnificent display of bags, wallets and scarves with lots of bargains.

Our members had a great time and bought lots of lovely items.

2022 October Outing

Ten Members recently attended a Lunch at Embark Restaurant at the Loftus TAFE.  We enjoyed a beautiful three course meal with complimentary wine or soft drink, and coffee and churros, with chocolate dipping sauce.

The staff were very professional, and we had a lovely day. We look forward to the next one.

2022 October 50th Birthday Celebrations

On Monday evening, 10th October, our Club celebrated our 50th Birthday with the theme “Back to School”. Members from other clubs helped us celebrate along with 6 past members who had fun reminiscing.

Our entertainment was Tony Mazzell who was loads fun and a great sport. It was a fun night with lots of prizes and everyone had a great time. Many thanks to our President Barb Newman for organising the night.

2022 Christmas In July Celebrations

A small group of ladies from our Club attended a Christmas in July lunch at Kareela Golf Club on Tuesday 19th July. Sadly, a few ladies were unable to attend, due to illness. It’s a great venue and we all enjoyed the day.....and the food!.

2022 Spectacles

Ladies in our Club got together to Make a Spectacle in celebration of The Smith Family's 100 year Anniversary.

Many of us used the opportunity to spend time making our spectacles with our grandchildren. A fun activity.

Degustation Delights

2022 June

On Thursday 16th June, a group from our Club went to The Embark Restaurant at the Loftus TAFE. We enjoyed a 6 course Degustation menu for lunch.

The trainee chefs and waitstaff did an excellent job and we all had a great day. Photos show a sample of the food we enjoyed.

2022 April

On Saturday 30th April, our Club held a Fashion Parade at a committee member’s house.

It was fun afternoon with a large number of members attending. Following the Parade, we all enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea supplied by the committee.

Best of all, we were able to buy lots of bargain's.
