2017 October Meeting
The members of Inverell VIEW club enjoyed their monthly meeting and luncheon in October when they were joined by National Councillor, Barbara Hyslop, who introduced them to the incoming National Councillor for 2018/2019 Beryl Pike.
Barbara Hyslop spoke to the meeting about the recent National Convention in Tamworth in September as well as reading part of the address to members at Convention delivered by one of our Learning for Life students. He is currently completing his degree at University, having been supported by the Smith Family's program throughout his career and is a wonderful ambassador for the program supported by VIEW members throughout Australia.
Beryl Pike then introduced herself to members and said how much she was looking forward to meeting with them next year.

INVERELL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS
The members of Inverell VIEW Club were entertained at the Christmas dinner by the grand-daughter of one of the club members after hearing about her experiences since finishing school, which was enlightening and inspiring to hear how creative she had been since deciding university was not for her. She then accompanied her singing with the guitar. One of the club members also led everyone with some Christmas carols and members then enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner.
The club is busy again with a meetings again on 18th January and celebrates Australia Day with morning tea at the home of a member. Ring the phone number above if you are interested in attending any of these functions.
