Korora VIEW Club was formed in 1993.
Currently, the Club sponsors three Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.
There is a Luncheon Meeting the first Tuesday of each month, usually with a guest speaker. A more informal, relaxed social day is held on the third Tuesday of each month. Events held during the year include games days, visits to botanic gardens and local entrepreneurial businesses, fashion parades, fun lunches and much much more.

Christmas in July
Korora VIEW Club members celebrated "Christmas in July" at their monthly luncheon meeting. Kris Kringle parcels were exchanged in a left/right game, which was specifically written and personalised for Korora VIEW, with the names of some members included. There was lots of laughter AND much confusion as it was read, but enjoyed by all. Everybody came away with a most expensive gift, valued up to $5.00!
Guest speaker for July, Carol Jessop
One of the Korora VIEW members, Carol Jessop, spoke to the Club of her many and varied experiences when immigrating with her husband and two children to Australia in the late 1960's, as ... a TEN POUND POM! After enduring a 30 hour flight from the UK on a Boeing 707 she and her husband John were seeking work on Australian farms, but quite unprepared for what lay ahead in country Australia or for the Australian accent. However, despite the ups and downs associated with settling into a new country, they remain still, here in Oz, with no plans of living elsewhere.
