Meet our 2021 Committee
2021 February
Members were extremely happy to welcome Michael Booth to our February meeting.
Michael is a descendant of a passenger who sailed on the Titanic and gave us a lot of lesser known information about the Titanic and it's passengers. Michael came resplendently dressed as Captain Smith, together with his young assistant, Alison (as Lady Astor).
Michael also brought along artefacts and some of his amazing Titanic models.

December 2020
Our November dinner meeting was our first meeting following the long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In December, 45 members and guests enjoyed a ‘Christmas dinner’ and were entertained by our guest speaker, Phil Allan, who played his “Magical Hand Bells” for us, which included Christmas melodies. Phil played the bells and also chimes.

Christmas Dinner Meeting
At the dinner, President Ros, presented member Pamela with a Certificate of Appreciation for her many years of service to the Kuring-gai Evening VIEW Club. Pamela has been on our committee for some 15 years, and has held the roles of President, Vice President, Program Officer and Assistant Secretary. Well done, Pamela!

Ten of our members went on a tour of the State Theatre in Sydney. The State, which opened in June 1929, has some wonderful history and artworks. The now 2035-seat theatre (originally many more) has had many additions and renovations over the years, yet still retains a definite 'return to a bygone era' appeal.
Our group enjoyed all three levels of the theatre, walking about the stage and being given the theatre's history as we went. Following the tour we all enjoyed a well-earned lunch at Cellinis in the Queen Victoria Building.
