Welcome 2024 Lennox Heads VIEW Committee
April 2024
No to Domestic and Family violence and Yes to respectful relationships, Stop the Violence and End the Silence.
We were privileged to hear how Rotary is taking on this Social Justice Cause, with providing programs like Love Bites, educating young people in Primary and Secondary Schools on respectful relationships, also their work with the local community, showing how we can all help to erase this terrible problem through our country.
Dave and Robyn were wearing the official purple shirt raising awareness and advocate against Domestic and Family Violence. These shirts can be purchased online. Thank you to this wonderful couple who have given us a look into Rotary and their work.
Our speaker for May meeting, on Tuesday 14th May, will be author Jodi Rogers. Members are invited to bring any hard copies of her book Unique, if they would like them signed

2023 November
Club Members, Reverend Cathy Ridd and six choir members of the Ballina Threshold Singers came together to share a delicious meal for our 2023 November meeting. Reverend Cathy explained the choir's mission is to sing for those at the thresholds of life, so that they may be honoured with kindness and compassion shared through song.
The photo shows our Club Members, together with Reverend Cathy and the Choir.

A massive thank you to the Ballina Players, our Members and most especially the community for being a part of the special charity night for our Club. It was a sell out and a spectacular night and what a cast, such great talents.
Our Club
Our Club
The idea for an evening VIEW Club in Lennox Head was conceived on an early morning walk with friends along the beach. It had been the dream of long time VIEW member Marie Hicks that a club for the younger women of Lennox Head be formed. After a couple of months of discussions with those who were interested the club was formed, a committee chosen and over 70 women celebrated the "birth" of the new club! The Inaugural Meeting was held in the Beef+Beach Restaurant at the Lennox Point Hotel on Tuesday 9 October 2012. We now join more than 16,000 other Australian women in their commitment in raising awareness of and participating in the work of The Smith Family.

Ben's Amazing Story
Ben's Amazing Story
Ben is an ex-army corporal now heading up his own company, the Haime Group. His early life was marred by family drug use and violence. He spent years in foster homes and boarding school. However, rather than letting his past define him, he has used it creatively to rebuild his life and now assists military veterans to do the same through surfing and leadership. His story was amazing!
