Lithgow VIEW Club was formed in 1969.
We are an enthusiastic and friendly group of women, who love getting together with friends, for fun and friendship. Throughout the year, we invite guest speakers to share their insights on varying topics at our meetings. We also regularly get together on social outings such as daytime Mystery Coach Trips, Lunches, and Musical performances in Sydney.
But it’s not just fun and socialising! We are immensely proud of the eight Learning for Life students we sponsor with the money we raise at our events.
We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it’s all about.

It was a happy occasion to welcome members back to VIEW after not holding our July meeting due to COVID restrictions. Guest Speaker was Rupert Grech who has written books on Tales of growing up in Wartime Malta Stories my Parents told me and Stylus Stories a book of collective stories through his life. Our members were enthralled by his presentation and storytelling. Pictured is Rupert signing Pam Johnson’s book.
President Sue welcomed 65 members and 2 guests to our meeting. Numbers were down because of COVID restrictions being a worry to some members, resulting in 36 apologies. Pauline joined as a new member and was welcomed to the club.
Congratulations to Kerri who was presented with her ten-year Service Pin.
Birthday Celebrations with an Australian Theme
Members and guests celebrated Lithgow's fifty second birthday in June with President Sue welcoming one hundred and four (104).
Official Guest, The Hon. Andrew Gee MP Member for Calare, congratulated Lithgow VIEW and thanked them for their support of The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program, acknowledging VIEW in general for supporting children from all over Australia. We are helping to break the cycle of disadvantage families and support children with their education.
Two of our members received Service Pins, being Nola (30 Years) and Lyn (10 Years). Pat received her new member badge and we welcomed three new members, who joined today.
We enjoyed a delicious two course meal served with tea and coffee, followed by some wonderful entertainment by the Stoney Broke Band.
It was a wonderful fun day.

More Social Fun
This month we had 89 members and 5 guests at our luncheon General meeting. It was another wonderful meeting with all our members enjoying the friendship of VIEW.
President Sue presented Gloria with her Decade Pin for 20 years of Membership. We also celebrated a milestone birthday for Wendy who is turning 80.
Our Guest Speaker was Doreen Peters from the Hartley Rural Bushfire Brigade Catering team. Doreen is the Co-ordinator. Doreen, who is 81 years young, has been with the Brigade for 60 years and she worked 80 days straight through the recent Gosper Mountain Bushfire, feeding all the NSW RFS Volunteers. She has 2 sons and 4 grandsons who also fought on the fire front.
It was a pleasure to thank her and listen to her incredible stories about her experiences during bushfires and other emergency services.
