60th Birthday Celebrations On Hold in 2021
Sylvania VIEW Club was to celebrate its 60th anniversary on Wednesday, 21 July. We were looking forward to welcoming Jo Gray, National Vice President, to celebrate with us. Owing to the Greater Sydney COVID-19 lockdown, the cake, the champagne and the entertainment will have to be put on hold.
It would have been lovely to upload pictures of our birthday party with all our past and present members who were coming. However, our tentative plans are that we will get together for our birthday party at our 15 September meeting; hopefully when the lockdown ends we look forward to getting on with life as normally as possible.
Here’s Cheers to 60 years!

In June 2021, The Smith Family’s fundraiser fitness challenge, Dream Run, is being taken up by Ann-Maree Holmes and Margaret Packwood of Sylvania VIEW Club. Their team name is Sylvania VIEW Club. The purpose of the Dream Run is to fundraise for disadvantaged Australian children by doing a fitness challenge for the month of June to walk or run 25km, 50km or 100km. We have both nominated to walk 25 kms over the month of June. So far Sylvania VIEW Club Team has raised $223.00 in donations.
