2018 Area NM Gala
Area NM recently held their Gala, and what a great day it was! A beautiful setting at Sawtell Golf Club with 100 VIEW members and friends mixing and mingling. The theme for the day was "An Elegant Affair" and the attendees each received an elegant clutch purse filled with goodies. The clutch purses were beautifully crafted by members from Coffs City Evening VIEW Club, Coffs Harbour Day VIEW Club and Woolgoolga Day VIEW Club.
Our Guest Speaker was Karen Curtin from The Smith Family, Coffs Harbour who was an interesting and informative speaker obviously passionate about her role as the Family Partnerships Coordinator. Elizabeth Birch, Zone Councillor for Zone NM03 demonstrated how to navigate view.org.au.
Great entertainment with games and a wonderful ballet performed by the “dancers and orchestra” of Nambucca/Macksville Evening VIEW Club, NM01.
It was an honour to present decade pins (Robin 30 years NM02, Margaret 20 years and Lyn 10 years, both of NM03); a New Member's badge to Maureen and to announce the accepted nomination for the Making a Difference Award to Muriel, both members of Bonville-Boambee VIEW Club, NM02.
The raffles and Lucky Door prizes took some time, thanks to all the wonderful members and local businesses who donated a wide selection of wonderful items.
An “elegant” day enjoyed for its friendship and laughter.
