Buderim VIEW Club

About

Buderim VIEW Club was formed in 1993. Each year we celebrate our birthday in December.

Currently, the Club sponsors seven Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.

Our function room is at the very centrally located Buderim Tavern.  At our luncheon meetings we always have interesting guest speakers. New members are very welcome.  Attending our club’s events will help raise funds for educating students of underprivileged families.  Luncheon cost is $30.

On the third Wednesday each month we have a social activity/outing.

When

  • Meeting Day on 1st Wednesday each month at 11 am 11.30am
  • Buderim Tavern

'Making a Difference' Awards

Jenny Jackson

Jenny's philosophy, dedication and passion for opportunity to assist students in their endeavour to gain a sound education mirrors the VIEW guiding principles. Jenny has held many committee positions including president twice.

As president during the initial outbreak of the pandemic, she led our devoted committee to maintain full membership and student sponsorships.

For several months we met unofficially in the park, continued a monthly newsletter, emailed/phoned members who were temporarily isolated and made house calls, be it just to the front door, to wish members a happy birthday.

Jenny is always available to step up when a committee member is absent to keep our club running smoothly. Jenny states, ‘I am especially proud of Buderim View Club, what we represent and the warm generosity of our members.’
