A valued part of The Smith Family

Buderim VIEW Club

Buderim VIEW Club was formed in 1993.

Currently, the Club sponsors seven Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.

Our function room is at the very centrally located Buderim Tavern.  At our luncheon meetings we always have interesting guest speakers. New members are very welcome.  Attending our club’s events will help raise funds for educating students of underprivileged families.  Luncheon cost is $30.

On the third Wednesday each month we have a social activity/outing.

  • Meeting Day on 1st Wednesday each month at 11 am 11.30am
  • Buderim Tavern

Gail:  Ph 07 5476 7163 or email gai3@optusnet.com.au

For luncheon bookings or cancellations, please call or email by Thursday of the week prior to the luncheon, as this is when our venue requires numbers attending.

Cheryl currently holds a position as Director on the Buderim Foundation Board and is always heavily involved with local charity work alongside many international charities that she supports.

Countries Travelled: Around 45 last check

Favourite Destination and Why: India is my passion. I travel twice a year there if I can. I love the people, the food and the culture.

Favourite Travel Tip: Pack light, buy local. Take some washing powder and just take things that wash and dry quickly overnight where you can. Packing cubes are my all new favourite!

Julie's Care Bears

Treasurer Julie, a long time member of Buderim VIEW Club, has been busy during COVID-19. She voluntarily knitted 16 Care Bears for the Red Cross .  The bears are stuffed with special non-allergenic filling and are given to children who are experiencing trauma, often from an accident, operation or even family violence.  Evidence shows that these bears do help to relieve stress.
