A valued part of The Smith Family

Buderim VIEW Club

Buderim VIEW Club was formed in 1993.

Currently, the Club sponsors six Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.

At our luncheon meetings we always have interesting guest speakers.  Luncheon cost is $28.

On the third Wednesday each month we have a social activity/outing.

2018 November Guest speaker

Amanda is the Business Development Associate for Queensland Rail Travel.  Amanda gave an excellent presentation of some of Queensland’s rail journeys and holiday experiences, which also included information about the fairly new luxurious 'Spirit of Qld’ train journey from Brisbane to Cairns.

Ruth thanked Amanda for being our Guest Speaker.

2018 September Guest Speaker

Our September guest speaker was Clare Blake from the Queensland Institute of Medical Research. Clare’s talk held our interest and fascination as she covered some of the research on a range of diseases, including cancer, asthma, HIV, malaria, endometriosis and dengue fever. Pictured is VIEW member Colleen Hansen (R) giving the vote of thanks to Clare.

Recently the sound of clicking needles has been heard throughout Buderim VIEW Club,  with the members producing 250 beanies for new-born babies.

Staff at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital were delighted with the donation from our enthusiastic knitters.
