International Yacht Chef, Lisa Mead
Carol interviewing Lisa
The delicious results
Our guest speaker was international yacht chef, Lisa Mead, host of Tales from a Luxury Yacht and author of Fine Dining Made Easy.
She has created delights for all walks of life including royalty, heads of state and celebrities onboard luxury yachts, in 5 star villa and restaurants.
Two of our ladies volunteered to assist while Lisa made Filo Flower with Summer Berries and a Soft Toffee Swirl. They were also lucky enough to sample the sweet.
Ros and Wendy assisting Lisa
Members recently played Barefoot Bowls at Mt Gravatt Bowls Club. We had such an enjoyable morning that ended with lunch at the Club and lots of laughter from the ladies.
We now realise that it's not as easy as it looks on TV!
2022 National Counsellor Visit
Our National Councillor, Robyn Garard, visited our Club and gave a presentation on TSF's LFL students.
Members enjoyed our Autumn Leaves theme meeting. We also had our trading table which was very successful.
2022 May - Miegunyah House
Photo of some of our ladies enjoying Devonshire tea during a visit to Miegunyah House
Built in the 1880's when local tradition was at its most opulent, Miegunyah is one of Brisbane's most accessible Heritage Homes. Richly decorated with iron-lace balustrades, filigree columns and friezes, and furnished in the style of the late 19th century, Miegunyah is a living example of Victorian elegance and charm. Step through the wide cedar door way into the House Museum, be fascinated by exotic collectables from travels afar, learn about the people who lived at Miegunyah and ghosts that never left.
Crazy Whist Morning Tea
A delicious morning tea of sweet and savoury scones with tea or coffee was enjoyed before an entertaining and rather noisy Crazy Whist morning.
A lucky door prize, and several raffle prizes were won by a few of our members. A very enjoyable morning was had by all who attended.
Coffee Morning at Easts
2022 March Outing
Several members attended a casual morning tea at Easts and joined in wishing long time member, Desley, a very happy birthday.
Rolling In Clover
Our March meeting’s theme was Rolling in Clover and we were fortune to have as our special guest, Jason Tong, Artistic Associate Camerata of Queensland's Chamber Orchestra.
Jason has been playing the violin for over twenty years and as you can see, the ladies listened very intently to the beautiful music produced.
International Women's Day Fashion
During March, members and guests celebrated International Women’s Day at the Newnham Hotel with an amazing High Tea and fashion parade by Black Pepper.
Some lovely Carindale VIEW members strutted their stuff as models, while others looked on, enjoying the fashions, and High Tea.
2021 Carindale Christmas
On 25 November we held our last meeting for the year themed "A Golden Christmas". Many of the ladies wore Christmas headbands made by the ladies
in our Talk and Tinsel group. We shared a lot of fun and laughter, especially when we played "Christmas Celebrity Heads". (Check our Assistant Treasurer wearing her Ebenezer Scrooge headband.)

2021 September Birthday
Carindale VIEW Club celebrated its 27th birthday at our 23 September
cake being cut by our oldest member, Carmel Drysdale, and being watched by our President, Sharon Hughes.

Black Dog Ride fundraising day.
A few of our Carindale members got together to raise funds for our Learning for Life students. The Newnham Hotel, where we meet, invited us to have a stall at their Black Dog Ride fundraising day.
Displayed are Christmas craft items, baking and preserves.
We were very pleased with our efforts and money raised.
Our President, Sharon Hughes, took the following photo.
