The Club aims to promote the needs and interests of women and to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged Australian children through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life Program. Formed in 1990, the Club currently sponsors eight Learning for Life students.
Lasting friendships are made through monthly lunch meetings, which include prominent people speaking on a range of subjects; membership of our talented choir; interest groups including Bridge, Mahjong and Canasta and regular social outings to theatre productions, museum visits and bus trips.
New members are always welcome. Become part of our supportive, caring community. Contact us now for further information.

CRAZY WHIST MORNING FUNDRAISER
After the resounding success of Chapel Hill VIEW Club’s 2019 Crazy Whist Morning members and their guests fully supported a repeat performance in February 2020. Thirty women attended from Chapel Hill, Centenary Evening and Kenmore VIEW Clubs to play a few rounds of Crazy Whist. No previous experience was necessary, failure was not an option, just lots of laughs, camaraderie and a delightful morning tea. Proceeds will support Chapel Hill VIEW Club’s 8 students participating in The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program.
The event was held at our local Council Library in Kenmore Village. Organiser Pat can be contacted for further information. Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Christmas on the Hill
Christmas carols set the tone for the Chapel Hill VIEW Lunch in early December. Members joined their Choir, which is well known in the area for its wonderful singing, in a trip down memory lane with the singing of many Christmas favourites. As well there were Secret Santas, lucky door prizes, many raffles and a well-resourced Christmas Trading table. Very few left empty-handed but all left with a smile!
The Race that stops a Nation
Members of Chapel Hill View and their guests dressed up stylishly for the first Tuesday in November. It was not Flemington but Mt Ommaney Hotel / Apartments proved a great place to enjoy the races.
Smart hats and fascinators, lovely frocks and outfits were the order of the day. Judges given the task of picking Best Hat, Best Novelty Hat and Best Dressed had a difficult time.
With several screens round the walls, all had a good view of the race and of the on-course fashions. There was a Lucky Door Prize, raffles and, of course, it wouldn’t be Melbourne Cup without sweeps.
Chapel Hill VIEW celebrated the Club's 29th Birthday in style in August 2019. It was a sea of red and black as members and guests dressed to the 'red-carpet' theme. Evan Fraser, husband of the Club’s secretary, Vicki, piped in the birthday cake and then the Chapel Hill View Club Singers to the delight of all present. Animated discussion over lunch ensured a day to remember for all.
