The Club aims to promote the needs and interests of women and to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged Australian children through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life Program. Formed in 1990, the Club currently sponsors eight Learning for Life students.
Lasting friendships are made through monthly lunch meetings, which include prominent people speaking on a range of subjects; membership of our talented choir; interest groups including Bridge, Mahjong and Canasta and regular social outings to theatre productions, museum visits and bus trips.
New members are always welcome. Become part of our supportive, caring community. Contact us now for further information.
Lunchtime meetings are held on the
first Tuesday of each month at 10.45 for 11.30am.

Crazy Whist Morning Tea
On Tuesday, 26 February, 23 Ladies enjoyed a Devonshire Morning Tea before playing Crazy Whist at the Kenmore Village Library. Organised by Program Officer, Pat Needham, this was a time for our Members to share a morning of fellowship. It was such a fun game, no one took it too seriously, and all are keen to play again.
2019: A New Beginning
In February, at our first Luncheon for 2019, members met at Mt Ommaney Hotel Apartments to renew friendships and to share stories of their Christmas Celebrations. A new committee was inducted by Lyn Masters, National Councillor Area QA, and promised another exciting year, with fun and friendship whilst supporting eight Smith Family Learning for Life Students.
Happy 28th Birthday
To celebrate our 28th Birthday, the Chapel Hill VIEW Choir, led by Doreen Orton and accompanied by Marguerite Giovannini, travelled down memory lane with ‘Hits of the Musicals’, including ‘Some Enchanted Evening’ from South Pacific and ‘Summertime’ from Porgy and Bess. A piano solo by Marguerite “Can’t Help Lovin that Man” delighted the guests. This was a wonderful start to the club’s next 28 years.
Fashion on Show
More than 80 guests enjoyed a lovely Morning Tea and a presentation by Fashions on the Go at the Chapel Hill VIEW Club’s July Fashion Parade at Mt Ommaney Hotel/Apartments. Featuring ‘Fashion at Raffles’, members and guests had the option to purchase and a percentage of the day’s takings was generously donated to the Club. A special thank you to members who modelled on the day.
