Glasshouse Country VIEW Club was formed in 2003.
Currently, the Club sponsors five Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.
We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.
VIEW clubs throughout Australia are an integral part of The Smith Family, a children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australian children. The Glasshouse Country View Club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The first Wednesday we have outings to places of interest around the Sunshine Coast and the third Wednesday is our lunch meeting where we have interesting speakers, trading tables, raffles, etc.
We are a very sociable group of ladies; we have great fun, interesting topics, speakers and outings and we enjoy knowing that the money we raise goes to a very worthy cause. If you would like to help disadvantaged Australian children please come and join us. We always welcome new members—just turn up to one of our meetings or outings.

What we've been doing
Melbourne Cup Day
Some of our members joined together at Club Glasshouse for a fun day with a grazing lunch, whilst others gathered at a member's home and had fun and laughter, along with a buffet lunch.
Glasshouse Country VIEW Club recently held a stall at a Health & Well-being Expo conducted in our area. Quite a few brochures were handed to ladies and from our presence there, two of those ladies attended our October luncheon meeting. We were very pleased that our presence at this event resulted in such a good response.
October 2018 Outing
Our members enjoying a morning at Vianta Cafe, Beerwah
In October we had an informal sewing morning to make library bags for Learning for Life students. We had lots of fun and all took part in cutting, sewing and ironing to put the bags together. We were asked by the 'Sunshine Coast Seniors' paper to come up with ideas for grandparents to make items with their grandchildren during the summer holidays. They were very pleased with our suggestion of making library bags, so hopefully this will be published.
September 2018 Outing at Mooloolaba
On September 5th outing was a visit to Mooloolaba, where we enjoyed a walk along the spit, followed by morning tea and then fish and chips at the fish market. It was a lovely morning in the sun with fun, laughter and raffles.
August 2018 Morning Tea at Skippy Park, Landsborough
July 2018 Outing
For our July outing, we enjoyed a sausage sizzle with games of quoits and bocci at the park adjoining Glass House Township Information Centre.
