We are a friendly group of women who enthusiastically support activities to raise money for The Smith Family's Learning for Life program and our ten sponsored students.
Monthly lunch meetings provide an opportunity to hear interesting guest speakers and our fundraising activities include Bunnings BBQs, trading tables and raffles.
Some members put their skills to use in making items for the students such as library bags. More fun and socialising is provided through our annual bus trip, monthly morning teas and outings.
Our Club was formed in 2000 and our birthday celebrations are a highlight of the year.

60th Anniversary Celebration
A wonderful start to South Australian celebrations for the 60th Anniversary of VIEW with a reception for representatives of the SA VIEW Clubs at Government House that was hosted by His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC, Governor of South Australia, and Mrs Lan Le.
Adelaide West members were among those who attended the reception and were delighted to be given the opportunity to wander through the library and other ground floor rooms of Government House.
19th Birthday Celebration
Adelaide West celebrated 19th wonderful VIEW years with the theme No business like shoe business. What a variety of shoe styles and colours were worn, including some sparkling dance shoes, as can be seen by photo opposite.
The music of the Australian Army Band’s Jazz Quartet had the members and visitors tapping their feet and soon many were up and dancing.
Local Clubs Clubbing Together
Adelaide West VIEW Club, together with the Kidman Park Rotary Club, demonstrated the value of ‘Clubbing Together’. Following a talk by Adelaide West’s 2019 President, Joan Coleman, to the Kidman Park Rotary Club on the role of VIEW and The Smith Family that Club’s members were keen to support TSF with the purchase items needed by the students. Backpacks were chosen and the 270 backpacks donated were shared among the six administrative units of The Smith Family in SA.
The photo taken with some of the backpacks shows Joan, Graham Jaeschke, General Manager SA and NT, TSF, Stephen Mulligan MP, State Member for Lee and Rob Chambers, former President, Kidman Park Rotary Club.
