Prospect VIEW Club Fundraiser at The Ingle Theatre, Pasadena (SA)

Tuesday, 18th July, 2017 1pm to 5pm.

On a very stormy Tuesday afternoon members and friends of the Prospect VIEW Club gathered at The Ingle Theatre, a privately-owned boutique theatre in Pasadena in SA, for a fundraising event.

After welcome drinks at 1pm, the 34 in attendance were ushered into the Theatre  Nigel, the owner and host, played a newsreel that included one of the rare times that Adelaide was mentioned.  As it was 1936, it obviously focussed on the celebrations of Adelaide's centenary of European settlement.

Intermission allowed for more discussion, drinks and a very tasty afternoon tea provided by the members. Following intermission, we settled in for the main event, a comedy/western film called The Second Time Around.  The film was released in 1961 starring Debbie Reynolds, Steve Forrest and Andy Griffith.

The event was organised by Trina Sabine, a Prospect VIEW Club member who has recently been recognised with a 2017 Making a Difference Award for her outstanding fundraising efforts for our Club. Trina organised an amazing raffle with a total of 13 prizes.

All funds raised will go towards sponsoring our two Learning for Life students.

Prospect VIEW Second Birthday

Prospect VIEW Club's 2nd birthday was held at The Bombay Bicycle Club on Tuesday 16th May, 2017.   The theme for the day was "West meets East - Paris to Mumbai" and the tables were decorated accordingly.  Of the 48 women attending, many were colourfully or classically dressed to fit the theme.

Guests included SA02 Zone Councillor, Daphne Philip who cut the birthday cake and Past National Vice President, Velda Atkinson.   Marianne Riccio entertained with her beautiful singing and sparked enthusiasm amongst VIEW members to get up and dance.  A good fun day was had by all
