2021 December

Many members certainly got into the Christmas spirit as can be  seen from the photos below.

Christmas Celebrations

On Wednesday 15 December 2021 Members and guests celebrated their meeting with a delicious two course Christmas lunch at the Arkaba Hotel.   Members were encouraged to bring a raffle prize wrapped in Christmas paper.   The table groaned under the weight of the prizes!  There were enough prizes for everyone to receive one.   The  raffle raised the princely sum of $179.

Our Guest Speaker was Natalie from the Adelaide office of the Smith Family.  Natalie looks after the tertiary Learning for Life students located in South Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania.  Many tertiary students have gone on to forge successful careers.   Member Dorothy, herself a retired High School teacher, made a presentation and thanked Natalie for her interesting talk.

2021 Melbourne Cup Celebrations

On Tuesday 2 November, twenty Club members met and enjoyed a fun afternoon to celebrate the Melbourne Cup.  Our Treasurer hosted the event in her home  and the attendance fee was $20.

Fascinators were in evidence and there was an abundance of food provided by many of the members .  We held many sweeps and a raffle which members participated in.  The princely sum of $493 was raised.

Unfortunately no one thought to take a photo we were all enjoying ourselves so much!!!!
