Geelong Day VIEW Club
About
Geelong Day VIEW Club is a leading women’s volunteer organisation and support network that empowers women to have their voices heard on issues of importance in Australian society.
We support nine Learning for Life students with scholarships in the belief the best way to enable children to become independent and able to care for themselves can only be achieved through full access to and utilisation of educational resources.
Our club not only provides the opportunity to meet regularly with likeminded women from all walks of life, but we listen to interesting guest speakers while dining and enjoying the friendship of our large group. New members are welcome to come along and participate at whatever level is comfortable for you.
Social events include a fashion parade, plant stall, high tea bridal display, sausage sizzles and a birthday celebration dinner. We need people of all backgrounds, all skill sets and all perspectives, so yours are wanted. Come along to a meeting and enjoy yourself.

Our 2022-2023 Making A Difference award recipients are Laurel, Yvonne, and Janet
Laurel has been a member of several VIEW Clubs since 1999 and continued her membership across many clubs as she relocated interstate. Laurel has been instrumental in setting up new Clubs and served on many Committees. She has a deep interest in the history of TSF, actively promoting their philosophy and ethics. Laurel brings extensive experience to the Geelong Day Club beginning her 13-year membership at our inauguration and serving as Delegate for three (3) years.

Yvonne is an energetic member of Geelong Day VIEW, with high organisational and collaborative skills. Since joining in 2009, she served five years on the Committee as Publicity Officer. Yvonne's creativity and many community contacts have benefitted our Club. Over several years she chaired sub-committees for successful social and fundraising events; and has maintained her enthusiasm and initiative in raising funds for TSF, even during the CoVid pandemic.

Janet joined our Club in 2014, holding the offices of Vice President and Treasurer, each for three years. She has willingly supported others and stepped up when needed, to temporarily fill a vacancy. Janet's honesty, wisdom, level-headedness and experience in working with committees outside of VIEW, has been of great benefit to our Club, as well as her regular support of fundraising ventures.
