Mulgrave VIEW Club was formed in 1995.
We currently sponsor six Smith Family Learning For Life students and are involved in fundraising activities for The Smith Family programs.
We are always looking for new members who want to enjoy making new friends in pleasant surroundings while contributing to a worthy cause.

Members are delighted that we were able to commence the new year on time with a good turnout of ladies!
As it was our Annual General Meeting, and while we were able to successfully obtain a new president, there are still some vacancies to fill. Hopefully during the next few weeks some members will put their hands up and agree to join the committee.
We wish to welcome Val as our new President, and know the current Committee will do all they can to make the turn-over as easy as possible.
After a miserable couple of years, we finally finished this year with a bang! We were able to celebrate our Christmas Lunch, and were extremely pleased with the huge turnout; with over seventy women at the lunch, and even had some new members.
While many organisations, including some VIEW Clubs have had to dissolve their chapters because of lack of members, we have been able to increase our membership. All this looks good for the future! Financially we have been able to meet our commitments to our Learning for Life students, and look forward to a very successful 2022.
2021 September, October and November
Once again our meetings have been cancelled, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that we will be able to meet for our Christmas celebrations!
We are extremely fortunate to be able to meet our commitments for our Learning For Life students this year, with the help of generous donations from our members!
It is a difficult time for all, especially those of us in Victoria, and our hope is that next year we can return to normal and continue to support the Smith Family.
2021 August Cancellation
Unfortunately another meeting has had to be cancelled, our August one. Although the closures cause extreme hardship for some, especially our venue, it is a necessity if we are ever going to conquer this devastating disease!
Fingers crossed, our next meeting will be on Monday, September 13, when we will have a representative from Tena Skin Care. This will be extremely timely as many of us are having problems with our skin from constantly wearing masks!
We are always looking for new members, so if you are interested, or need more information, please ring Lynn, on 03 9705 0992, or 0413 355 197. Bookings are essential.
Positive Vision for the Future
2021 Christmas In July
After the disappointment of missing last’s month meeting, we were delighted to be able to go ahead with our Christmas In July meeting! It was a delight to see so many club members turning up in red to enjoy the festive mood! We were even surprised by a visit from Santa, and enjoyed a presentation from Andrew, from Penny Farthing, who gave us lots of ideas for Christmas presents!
Next month (if not in lockdown!), we will welcome Helen from Quilts of Valour who make and supply beautiful quilts to returning defence personnel.

June 2021 Cancelled
Unfortunately our June meeting has had to be cancelled because of covid restrictions being placed on restaurants and clubs. However, we hope that our July meeting will go ahead without any further restrictions in place.
Our next event will be our Christmas in July meeting on July 12 and we will be entertained with a presentation from Andrew of Penny Farthing Gifts.
We are always looking for new members, so if you are interested, or need more information, please ring
Lynn, on 9705 0992, or 0413 355 197. Bookings are essential.
A wonderful turn-out for the May meeting, when guest speaker Vivienne, from Accessorize U, was welcomed. Vivienne showed us the latest accessories for winter, including scarfs, bags, jewellery, and snoods!
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, 15th of June, as our usual Monday falls on a public holiday. For this meeting our speaker is from KOGO (Knit One Give One), the charity that supplies knitted hats, gloves, and blankets to those in need. Our members contribute a considerable number of items for this group.

Birthday Celebrations in April 2021
What a successful meeting we had this month! Seventy five ladies helped celebrate both our 25th and 26th birthdays! Members and guests were greeted at the door by Committee members in all their splendour wearing their tiaras!
A number of members also dressed in silver in honour of our silver birthday. The wonderful Adrian Dickens spoke about the Jewelry of The Three Queens and Three Princesses. We saw some absolutely beautiful jewels belonging to them.
Our May meeting will see Vivienne, from Accessorize U make a return visit and show us the latest in accessories and scarfs, and how to wear them.
Ladies in their gorgeous tiaras
Once again we had a wonderful turnout for the March Meeting. Everyone seems so happy to renew their friendships with other members! If the noise level is anything to go by, it was a huge success!
We were entertained by Yvonne, The Gadget Lady, and all her wares.
Next month we are celebrating not only our 26th birthday, but our 25th as well, which was cancelled last year. Our friend, jeweller Adrian Dickens returns and this year tells us about the jewellery belonging to “The Three Queens”. We are looking forward to this talk with much anticipation!
Pictured with Yvonne are some committee members sampling the goodies.
VIEW is Back in 2021
Well, at last, finally we were able to have a meeting, the first in eleven months!!! There was a good turn-out, and it was wonderful to catch up with so many of our members.
Although masks were mandatory, we were able to remove them to eat! It was like a Masked Ball, where everybody removed them at midnight! There were some surprises, with a number of different hair colours and styles!
We consumed a great meal, while enjoying the complete refit of our meeting room at the Mulgrave Country Club.
The AGM was short, as all current members of the committee agreed to stand for another year, and there were no volunteers from the floor.
All in all it was wonderful to finally meet up with our club members, and I sincerely hope that we are able to continue into the future, with no more lock-downs. See you in March!
