Wantirna Day VIEW Club
About
Wantirna Day VIEW, is proud to be part of a large network of VIEW clubs throughout Australia. Our club, formed May 1990, was previously known as Wantirna Evening VIEW. In March 2022, the club moved to daytime meetings and was renamed Wantirna Day VIEW.
Our role in the community is underpinned by our support of The Smith Family and it is through our work with this charity we are helping make life changing differences to local children and their families.
We encourage women in Wantirna, Knox and the surrounding areas to join us in meeting new friends and supporting others in need.
Our club provides the perfect opportunity to meet regularly with other like-minded women, within an inclusive, caring, and supportive club environment.
With the purpose of raising funds, volunteering, and donating, we proudly support six Learning for Life students through The Smith Family and areas within the local community through our participation in a variety of fun and engaging social activities.
Club Membership is open to women of all ages, from all walks of life and from any location.
Club Activities include
- Monthly club dinner meetings with a variety of interesting guest speakers
- Bi-monthly morning teas
- Toy, book, and stationery appeals
- Donating
- baby and children’s clothing to local charities
- hygiene products to those in need
- Trading tables
- Raffles, Sausage sizzles
Social activities (inclusive of partners and friends), for example:
- Chat n’ Chews, morning, and afternoon teas
- Craft Club
- Partner and friend’s dinners
- Trivia nights
- Bus trips and tours
- Cultural events, theatre, and stage entertainment
- Attending other club birthdays and special events.
As part of the strong VIEW network of clubs throughout Australia, we also enjoy participating in VIEW events such as International Women’s Day, Galas and Conventions.
These activities enable us to hear of personal experiences from Learning for Life students, meet other VIEW ladies and take part in debates which lead to changes to our society.
Monthly meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month for members (excluding January).
A short business meeting is conducted at the beginning of the morning tea, followed by the planned presenter/event. You are invited to remain with us for lunch and your meal preference can be selected from the Stamford menu. Lunch and drinks from the bar are optional and will be at your own expense.
Each month we hear from an interesting and informative speaker or occasionally an entertainer.
Most importantly we meet up with our friends, support each other while giving back to those in need.
You will be warmly welcomed. It is important to us that you feel at home and part of the club as quickly as possible. If you do not know anyone and will come alone, please do not be concerned. We will take much pleasure in asking an already established member to introduce you to others and show you the ropes!
We are proudly making a difference – and you can too!

Embracing Equity in 2023
Three suffragettes greeted members of VA01 zone as they arrived for Heidelberg VIEW Club’s IWD celebration. Suzanne, Roz and Jenny proudly channelled the suffragettes of the past who fought for women’s right to vote. Members arrived wearing the colours of purple, teal and white; suffragist colours and also, fittingly, our VIEW colours. Like the suffragettes of old, VIEW women raise their voices for change for the common good.
