20th Birthday on the 12th July 2021.
The First West Australian VIEW Evening Club opened in July 2001 and as the name suggests was the first VIEW Club in W.A. (In 2019 the changed was made to a day time club andname to First Wave VIEW Club.) The club opened in the same year that The Smith Family came to begin their Leaning for Life Suite of programs in this state.

Just love this photo Marie. Thanks very much for making the effort to match all your VIEW products and sending into the photo competition. You even managed to match up with your pot plants behind you.

"Rainbow Beanie Project"
President Dawn delivered around100 beanies (the First Wave ladies knitted) to TSF Westminster Child & Parent Centre. Not only beanies but crochet rugs, they will be used for dolls cots and an quilt with embroidered animals, which Julie will use to teach with. Julie was very appreciative of the beanies and knows they will be popular with the children. The club members and the centre are keen for more beanies and we all agreed to call it the “Rainbow Beanie Project”

Program officers Marie and Frances suggested to knit beanies to give to The Smith Family Westminster Parent and Child Centre.
Because of the virus and social distancing it gave VIEW ladies something to do and keeping connected. The ladies knit up a mammoth 90 beanies to pass on.
