About
Rockingham Sound Day VIEW Club was formed in 2003.
Currently, the Club sponsors twelve Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.
We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

Members enjoyed a lovely meeting locally to celebrate two special members big birthdays Michele and Kathy, where we had some rides on the beachside cycle bikes - great fun was had by all
2021 Christmas Party Fun
Members enjoyed lively meeting in December with a wonderful Christmas meal and marvellous raffle hampers. Those present heard a recital from VIEW member Zelma of very funny poems, and awarded Certificates of Appreciation, to some of our very valuable members. It was a lovely way to end the year.
2021 November Melbourne Cup
Members enjoyed a lively lunch with games and competitions; fun and prizes for the best dressed Ladies. We enjoyed a lovely meal and loved the opportunity to wear our finery !!
Busy In October 2021
October was a busy month for Members with this month's meeting speaker, Nia Parker giving a lively talk on keeping fit and healthy. While President Michele awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to Elizabeth.
On another occasion a Friendship Morning Tea was hosted by Ronnie.

In September members enjoyed a very interesting talk from Sheila Twain about life in London.

Perth Ranger in August 2021
Members enjoyed a lively August meeting at our regular venue, Port Kennedy Tavern, where we had a very interesting talk from Paul, the senior Ranger in Perth Hills. Paul told members about his role and the different aspects of work that he does, which was very interesting.
2021 Congratulations to First Wave VIEW
Some of our members, pictured below, recently attended the 20th Birthday Luncheon for First Wave Club. This was an enjoyable meal and company; a wonderful time was had by all. Congratulations to the club members of First Wave on achieving this milestone.
Winter Catch-Up
We had a morning friendship tea at The Clipper Inn, Rockingham, with several of our members attending on a beautiful winter’s morning. It was fun and catching up was enjoyable by all.
Eighteenth Birthday Celebrations in May 2021
Eighteenth Birthday Celebrations where were enjoyed with a lovely meal, cupcakes and entertainment . We also recognised long time member Elizabeth for 20 years of belonging to The View Club with a badge.

2021 March
At the March meeting the 2021 Committee was inducted; also we had a wonderful presentation on the lives of two remarkable ladies, Queen Noor who married King Hussein and Marguerite Van Gur Malltern who married a Bedouin Arab and lived in a cave.
Both were amazing and interesting stories given by Sheila Twine, who herself is an inspiring lady; very appropriate for International Women's Day.
Rockingham Christmas Pageant
Several of our members took part in the Rockingham Christmas Parade in December, we walked a route along the Foreshore and handed out lollies and information on our club while singing and dancing to Merry Christmas Carols a very festive time was had by everyone involved.

Melbourne Cup 2019
Rockingham Sound Day VIEW Club had a lively meeting to celebrate Melbourne Cup. Our members dressed for the occasion; all ready for the races!!
The highlight of the day was a quiz about jobs our members had done during their lives and we all learnt that our members possessed a wealth of experience.

We are pleased to announce the 55th VIEW National Convention will be held in Adelaide, SA from 9th to 11th September 2022.
Rockingham Sound is 17
We recently celebrated our clubs 17th birthday, and it was wonderful to have three founding members in attendance. Please see photo opposite of Miriam, Kathy, and Mabel.
This was the first meeting back after the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions and we discussed what we had learnt during lock down.
