On Monday evening 14th February, 2022, our Club’s Annual General Meeting and 2022 Committee Elections were held at the Engadine Bowling Club, and the night was chaired by Madge D.
We wish our new committee all the best for the coming year.
On Thursday 16th June, a group from our Club went to The Embark Restaurant at the Loftus TAFE. We enjoyed a 6 course Degustation menu for lunch.
The trainee chefs and waitstaff did an excellent job and we all had a great day. Photos show a sample of the food we enjoyed.
On Saturday 30th April, our Club held a Fashion Parade at a committee member’s house.
It was fun afternoon with a large number of members attending. Following the Parade, we all enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea supplied by the committee.
Best of all, we were able to buy lots of bargain's.
Fabulous Fashion Parade
On Monday night 13th December, Members and guests attended our Christmas Dinner at the Bowling Club.
It was a great night when people were able to catch up with friends we haven’t seen for months during the COVID-19 lockdowns. We enjoyed a wonderful traditional Christmas Dinner and Elyse was our fabulous entertainment.
This was a great night thanks to President Barb, who goes above and beyond each year with decorations and activities to get everyone into the spirit of Christmas.
We also had a presentation for four of our members. Three ladies, Pat, Faye and Marilyn (absent) received 30 year Service Pins and Leonie received her 10 Service Pin. Congratulations ladies!
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and look forward to a happier 2022!
2021 Begins with a High
On Saturday 20th February, our Club held a High Tea fundraiser at the home of one of our Committee Members. Approximately 20 members attended and enjoyed a lovely social afternoon with very yummy food.
On Tuesday 3rd and 17th November, two groups of our Club attended Embark Restaurant at Loftus TAFE College. We enjoyed a three-course luncheon with a complimentary non-alcoholic cocktail.
Both days were very enjoyable outings as we start to return to some normality.
In these uncertain times, it was lovely for some of our members to finally catch up and enjoy a meal together. We have had 2 meetings in the past 2 months with 14 members attending on Wednesday 9th September.
We hope things return to “normal” soon and that everyone in our VIEW family is keeping well and happy.
