Lithgow VIEW Club
About
Lithgow VIEW Club was formed in 1969.
We are an enthusiastic and friendly group of women, who love getting together with friends, for fun and friendship. Throughout the year, we invite guest speakers to share their insights on varying topics at our meetings. We also regularly get together on social outings such as daytime Mystery Coach Trips, Lunches, and Musical performances in Sydney.
But it’s not just fun and socialising! We are immensely proud of the ten Learning for Life students we sponsor with the money we raise at our events.
We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it’s all about. We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

Estate Planning In July 2023
At our luncheon meeting in July we had 73 members who enjoyed a wonderful day. Our guest speaker was Tim LeFevre, Solicitor who shared some valuable information on the importance of making a Will, appointing a Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardian and Advanced Directives. Many ladies had questions for him to help them.
The Workies staff once again served a delicious meal.
Our Raffle winners today were Fay Best, Elizabeth Evans & Ana Tokoli.
Asst. Sec. Debbie organised a Trivia on famous Caricatures, but we had to have a tie breaker question to get a winner. Congratulations to all the winners who received a small token for their win.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday 9th August and we would welcome members of our local community to come and join us and learn about the great work of VIEW & The Smith Family who support the education of children.
Please contact Sec. Lyn Wren 0408653340 if you would like to join us.

Celebrating Our 54th Birthday
Celebrating Our 54th Birthday
Eighty-four members and twenty-eight guests gathered at the Lithgow Workman’s Club for the Lithgow VIEW Club’s 54th birthday celebrations. President Deirdre, commenced proceedings by welcoming those present and special guests: Paul Toole, NEO2 advisor Toni, Workman’s Club General Manager Geoff Wheeler and President of the Board Howard Fisher, and Ladies from the Upper Blue Mountains, Springwood, Bathurst, Red Cross, Quota and Inner Wheel.
We had apologies from Andrew Gee, Mayor Marie Statham, VIEW Club President Bathurst, Nepean VIEW Club, Richmond and Windsor VIEW Clubs and other local clubs.
We have ladies celebrating birthdays in the month of June - Happy Birthday to you all.
Janice was also celebrating a special birthday - her 80th - and received a small gift
Our Committee members also did a great job of decorating the tables, stage and cake table. Thank you, ladies, it all looked amazing
Toni NEO2 Adviser presented Decade Pins to two of our ladies: Raylene 20 years and Joyce 30 years.
We had a lovely array of raffles and lucky door prizes which were won by many who attended.
NEO2 advisor Toni spoke to us about The Smith Family and how a few clubs had a program called Catch Up, which is really doing well. Its aim is to support every child with up-to-date technology and to make sure no child is left behind. Toni also mentioned how well these kids were doing and the ones that had been to University had come back to give back to their communities. Purpose and Education is the key, she said.
We also heard from Geoff Wheeler and Howard Fisher who wished us “Happy Birthday” and thanked us for the invitation.
Paul Toole spoke as well and thanked us for inviting him and also for the pearls that he was surprisingly given as he seemed to forget his! After all our theme was Denim and Pearls!!!
A big thank you to our entertainer Sheryl Scharkie, who sang an array of songs for us. The ladies all enjoyed singing along to the many songs they knew.
Our magnificently decorated birthday cake was made by Melanie and the cake was cut by 3 lovely sisters in our club: Lyn, Faye and Pat. The cake was cut up and put out for all the members and guests to enjoy with a tea or coffee.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday 12th July

Seventy members enjoyed a fun luncheon and presentation from our Guest speaker Jani McGovern from AEquaimus Mentally calm, composed and tranquil.
Jani provides Hypnotherapy and EFT/tapping. EFT =Emotion freedom technique or tapping. This combination of relaxation, meditation and tapping into specific parts of the body assists with the release of energy blockages from affected areas. Our Secretary Lynn participated in a demonstration of this method and Jani also got our Members involved. If anyone is interested in contacting Jani this is her website www.aequanimus.com.au

Learning About Autism in April 2023
Learning About Autism in April 2023
Sixty-nine Members and three guests enjoyed April's luncheon and hearing from Guest speaker, Sue Murdoch, who spoke about dealing with Autism and many other disorders that come under this umbrella. Sue provides community-based support for these families - it’s called Nanna’s Touch Community Connections Lithgow. We all found this very interesting.
Sue runs this organisation on her own as there is no support or medical assistance in Lithgow to help these people. It could take many years for these families to get the support they desperately need.
While we were waiting for lunch we played a game of Hoy, which was enjoyed by all. There were two winners: Faye and Debbie.
We also welcomed a new Member Doreen, while Lynn received her new member pack. We would like to welcome you both to Lithgow VIEW club. Eleven Members enjoyed birthdays in April, while this months raffle winners were Lyn, Wendy, and Debbie. Our next Meeting is on the 10th May.
