2022 July
Highlight of the celebration was a special guest speaker, Trish Whitburn, pictured below. Trish is a local Tumut girl and proud Wiradjuri woman. Recently she was commissioned to paint artworks which have been hung in the new Tumut Hospital. She has also just finished an exhibition of her work in conjunction with fellow artist, Shane Herrington and was a finalist in the First Nations category, National Capital Art Prize for her painting Doomut Bila by Moonlight & Daylight. Members of VIEW enjoyed having Trish at the meeting, lots of questions were asked and her paintings enjoyed by all.

2022 May
Members were treated to a small display of Quilts by two guest speakers from Harden-Murrumburrah Archies Army Quilt Charity, at our May 2022 Meeting. This charity makes quilts for children 0-16 years experiencing trauma through serious illness, disability or circumstances.
In the seven years since its inception the volunteers of this charity have distributed 1500 quilts Australia Wide. This charity is named in honour of their patron, Archie Armitt, an eight year old boy who lost his battle with Mitochondrial Disease in 2015. At the end of the evening this charity donated a quilt to our VIEW Club to be forwarded on to our Learning for Life Student, Isaac.
Further information on this charity can be found on their Facebook page.

Thankyou Jo
2022 March
President, Sonia presents our Guest speaker, Jo Murrell, with a certificate of appreciation at our March meeting. Jo gave a very interesting overview of her work with Anglicare in the Snowy Valley Council area since the Dunn’s road fires at the end of 2019.
Jo is a local Batlow lady, who has worked with other Anglicare personnel from the Snowy Monaro, South Coast area. They have worked with people impacted with the fires.
At our March meeting we celebrated International Women's Day. Members made a display of mementos from overseas.
Robyn's Face Masks
2021 Adversity
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic our VIEW Club was in a recession, and during this time Member Robyn found she had time on her hands, so she decided to make face masks and sell them.
The proceeds of which she donated to our Club. Tumut Evening has received a total of $360, all raised by Robyn in the sale of her facemasks. She also donated $100 to the Batlow VIEW Club in September 2020 at their birthday luncheon.
The making of the masks was made possible by donations of materials and elastic from friends and family and by Robyn’s ingenuity.
