Congratulations Wangi Wangi VIEW Club
On 14 September 2020, at the Wangi RSL, 32 new members were welcomed to the VIEW.
Congratulations to Club President Lynda and the inaugural committee who were all officially welcomed by VIEW National President Anne-Louise O’Connor and VIEW members from local VIEW Clubs such as Redhead, Bel Air, Cessnock and the Hunter.
Anne-Louise O’Connor said she was just amazed at the wonderful resilience of the VIEW members. It's really exciting to be able to open a new club during these challenging times in the middle of a pandemic!
Organisations like VIEW were especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic. The members of Wangi Wangi VIEW Club have not let that stop them.
"I've met lots of people who I wouldn't have met otherwise. I was new to the area last year. It's nice to have friends, that's for sure. "As much as anything it's about building friendships, and for a good cause." said Club President Lynda. “They're just an amazing group of women."
Members got right into the spirit of the times and held a mask and gloves competition.
