Redlands VIEW Club

About

Formed in 1997, Redlands Evening VIEW Club proudly sponsors five Smith Family Learning for Life students. Our members are actively involved in fundraising activities to support them and the programs for educationally disadvantaged Australian children.  The time and special talents given by each member in support of our fundraising efforts are appreciated.

We enjoy participating in our Zone’s activities and events such as Walk with VIEW, and International Women’s Day.

As well as our monthly dinner meetings, we hold social outings which include movies, morning teas, theatre performances, and bus trips. Throughout the year, we invite guest speakers to share their experiences and knowledge on a variety of interesting topics.

We are friendly and enthusiastic, with over 35 members.  We welcome new members and invite you to join us.

Birthday Celebrations

May 2023

Members recently celebrated our Club's 26th birthday, with a Black and White theme.  More than 40 Members visitors and guests celebrated a day of friendship and fun. Special guest was National President, Marg Woodhouse who thanked members for their work as volunteers in this Volunteers month and spoke about The Smith Family’s grand plans to expand the Learning for Life program from 58,000 students to 100,000 by 2027.

Marg also spoke about the provision of digital learning essentials to ensure that all students had access to ipads, wifi access and data access and storage. Marg hoped that some Members would attend National Convention in Hobart between 8-10 September.

The birthday cake was cut by Marg, National Councillor, Robyn, and President Edwina. Raffles, lucky door prizes and some fun games ensured everyone had an enjoyable birthday celebration.  The Club enjoyed another friendly coffee morning this month and there are many activities and outings coming up in the next few months.
