Adelaide West VIEW Club
About
We are a friendly group of women who enthusiastically support activities to raise money for The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program and our eleven sponsored students. Monthly lunch meetings provide an opportunity to hear interesting guest speakers and our fundraising activities include trading tables and raffles. Our outings provide further opportunities for members to meet. Some members put their skills to use by making items for the local students such as library bags and reading mats. Our Club was formed in 2000 and our birthday celebrations are a highlight of the year.
Perhaps you have recently retired or are transitioning to retirement and are looking to form new friendships and develop new interests. We welcome new members, please contact us.

Out and About
A delicious meal was enjoyed at the Tiros Restaurant at the Regency Park TAFE College.
Enjoyable Outing
A very pleasant morning stroll around the Himeji Japanese Garden.
22nd Birthday Celebrations
Books light up your world was the theme of our wonderful 22nd birthday celebration. The cake was cut by Secretary Heather and Zone Councillor Bernie.
Fundraising
The combined book and jigsaw trading table was one of our many successful fundraising activities.
Returning to Downton Abbey
A wonderful fundraising event was our Return to Downton Abbey morning tea. Sandy Whitelaw, Curator of Costume for the National Trust, spoke on the fashions of the Edwardian Era and the costumes worn in the TV drama Downton Abbey. Fabulous costumes were on display.
