Box Hill/Mitcham VIEW Club was formed in 1983.
Currently the Club sponsors seven Smith Family Learning For Life students, and is actively involved in fund raising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.
We have about 35 members from Box Hill, Blackburn, Mitcham, Vermont and nearby suburbs.
We meet at Bucatini's Restaurant, at 454 Whitehorse Road, Mitcham once a month where we enjoy lunch and listen to guest speakers addressing us on many different subjects. Recently we found out about a mystery woman who came to Gallipoli to lay a wreath and disappeared without anyone finding out who she was. At the April meeting we found out about Hearing Dogs, trained to assist people with hearing impairment - very special animals.
On the 2nd Monday we usually meet for an informal morning tea in one of the cafés in the eastern suburbs.
There is always plenty of chatter as we catch up with each other. Our group is very friendly and certainly enjoys the fun and friendship that comes with belonging to VIEW.
We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about."

Celebrating VIEW for 34 years
June 2019 Events
During June our zone joined two others to meet for the bi-annual VA Zone conference.
Wonderfully organised by a team led by Sandi and Lyn, we all had a sunshiney time the theme on a very rainy Melbourne day; learning about The Smith Family and discussing the resolution process. The Smith Family/VIEW relationship is important for the students who are supported, and for the women who work to raise funds.
Upcoming June 2019 Meeting: On 24th June, we will honour four of our members who have been members of Box Hill/Mitcham VIEW for more than 30 years each.
The latest badge will be awarded and all four women will be present to celebrate and tell us some of their memories of this Club. What a wonderful history!
All interested ladies are very welcome to contact our Club.
