About
Drysdale Day VIEW Club was formed in 2001.
Currently, the Club sponsors eight Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.
We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

2022 September
Wendy was shocked and delighted when presented with a "Making a Difference Award" for April to June 2022.
A long-time member of Drysdale VIEW, she has held numerous positions on the Committee and is a worthy recipient and highly respected member of our Club.

Members celebrated our Club's 21st Birthday on Friday, June 24, with the theme Balloons and Bubbles dress to impress in black and silver.
National President. Margaret Woodhouse, presented a twenty-year service award to Gloria and ten-year service awards to Beverley Mc, Beverley M, and Diane, for their dedication to our Club and commitment to the sponsoring of our six Learning for Life students.
Our beautiful birthday cake was made and decorated by Rebecca and cut by three of our founding members, Barbara, Ethel, and Christine. Zone Councillor VOC 3. Janet, drew our major raffle, with all three prizes going to members who were sitting at the same lucky table, Jennifer, Clair, and Maureen.

Gloria Makes A Difference
2022 May Highlights
A wonderful Member, Gloria, was surprised and delighted when National Councilor Bev Orgill, presented her with a Making a Difference Award for 2022 January to March.
A long-time member, Gloria joined our Club in June 2002, serving on the Committee in many capacities. Gloria is a worthy recipient and highly respected member of our Club. Not only did she receive a Making a Difference Award, but she also received a lovely bouquet from our President, Diane, for her significant birthday
Bunnings Sausage Sizzle
2022 April
On, Saturday, 30th April, our Club, held a very successful Bunnings Sausage Sizzle as part of our fundraising activities for the year.
It provided an opportunity to interact with the public and talk about our VIEW Club and our commitment to support our six students with their education through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program.
2022 March - International Women's Day, “Break the Bias”
Our Club held another successful International Women's Day at Leopold Sportsman's Club.
More than 80 women were present, including Margaret Woodhouse, VIEW National President, Janet Park, Zone Councillor V03, members from neighbouring VIEW Clubs, members of our VIEW Club, and friends.
Margaret Woodhouse spoke briefly about VIEW and The Smith Family, the meaning behind the colours of VIEW, and the “Break the Bias” pose.
Joan Paffett was our Guest Speaker, giving an Informative talk about her 35-years as a Senior Sergeant in the Victorian Police Force.
2022 Coffee Group
It was a great way to start the day with good friends from the Coffee Group at Wrathall Reserve. The weather was kind to us, the coffee hot, and the food delicious.
2021 November Highlights
At our November meeting, we took the opportunity to make up for all the missed birthdays, present service pins, and two Making a Difference awards.

Making A Difference Awards
Ethel and Christine were surprised and pleased when they received a Making a Difference Award from President Diane.
Ethel for February - March: Ethel, an inaugural member, was a Zone Counsellor and has held numerous positions on the Committee.
Christine for May - July: Christine, an inaugural member, has also held also held numerous positions on the Committee.
Both Ladies are worthy recipients and highly regarded members of our Club.
Tree of Education
Ethel presented the club with a beautiful Tree of Education, Learning for Life Banner that she had made. Each of the Gumnuts represents one of the twenty-one past Learning for Life students we have sponsored since our Club conception in 2001, along with our five present students.
The banner will be hung at our meeting as a reminder to our members that through fun, friendship, and fundraising our club is committed to raising funds to sponsor five Learning for Life students enabling them to get the most from their education through assistance and support from The Smith Family's Learning For Life program

Members and guests enjoyed the International Women's Day Lunch at the Portarlington Golf
Club.
Susan Hoevenaars was our Guest Speaker, giving an informative talk about her life as an
International Equine Judge.
2021 January Social Outing
Sixteen members attended the first social outing of 2021, a luncheon held at the Queenscliff Bowling Club.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their lunch and a long-awaited catch-up.

Embracing Equity in 2023
Three suffragettes greeted members of VA01 zone as they arrived for Heidelberg VIEW Club’s IWD celebration. Suzanne, Roz and Jenny proudly channelled the suffragettes of the past who fought for women’s right to vote. Members arrived wearing the colours of purple, teal and white; suffragist colours and also, fittingly, our VIEW colours. Like the suffragettes of old, VIEW women raise their voices for change for the common good.
