Geelong Day VIEW Club is a leading women’s volunteer organisation and support network that empowers women to have their voices heard on issues of importance in Australian society.
We support eight Learning for Life students with scholarships in the belief the best way to enable children to become independent and able to care for themselves can only be achieved through full access to and utilisation of educational resources.
Our club not only provides the opportunity to meet regularly with likeminded women from all walks of life, but we listen to interesting guest speakers while dining and enjoying the friendship of our large group. New members are welcome to come along and participate at whatever level is comfortable for you.
Social events include a fashion parade, plant stall, high tea bridal display, sausage sizzles and a birthday celebration dinner. We need people of all backgrounds, all skill sets and all perspectives, so yours are wanted. Come along to a meeting and enjoy yourself.

Meet Our 2022 Committee
President Jan's Message
My name is Jan and I have been a VIEW club member since March 2018. What drew me to VIEW was the children. I have been brought up to promote the welfare of others and to share, with the aim to reduce the gap between the haves and have nots.
I first learnt of VIEW at another organisation meeting, when the speaker presented about VIEW, I was instantly attracted. My reaction was what a great way to bridge the gap. I am passionate about education, so the fit was perfect!
Upon joining Geelong Day VIEW Club, I was impressed by the friendship provided to me, the welcoming environment and can-do attitude of the committee and club members, even during challenging times such as a pandemic!
I have stepped into the role of President in 2021 and am delighted with what we can achieve through collaboration. The Committee collectively thinks outside the square and our membership step up to assist in activities to ensure we support our sponsored children.
If you’d like to check us out at a monthly meeting, please reach out – myself or any other committee member would love to share with you, why we love VIEW and how you can contribute to bridging the gap. In VIEW friendship:

Celebrating 14th Birthday With Books
Geelong Day VIEW was inaugurated in 2008. We celebrated our 14th birthday on 2 May 2022 with a themed meeting of THE MAGIC OF BOOKS.
We had 14 raffle prizes of books and book vouchers, a 14-question book quiz, 14 pieces of book banter to share, mystery door prize and lucky table prizes.
Members submitted book reviews that were on display for all to enjoy and our 14th birthday cake of books, had the names of our sponsored Learning for Life students on the spine of two books.
Our guest speaker was from Geelong Regional Libraries and inspired all attending to connect or return to reading.
It was a fabulous fun filled day of friendship and information. Enjoy these images captured of THE MAGIC OF BOOKS.
