President Sue congratulates Avril on her "Making a Difference" Award
Avril, you are a true ambassador for VIEW demonstrated by your very supportive and caring nature.
As a quiet achiever, you have willingly aided and assisted in your position as Vice President by stepping in to chair meetings, collect funds raised at functions, and ensuring they are banked.
The members of Hamilton VIEW Club know you can always be relied upon to support and represent them by attending Zone and Area functions.
Well done, Avril!
Coming Of Age Birthday
March 2022
Members recently celebrated our Club's 21st birthday with an Autumn themed luncheon. Special guests included National Councillor Bev Orgill from Bendigo and Zone Councillor Janet Park from Geelong, along with three members from the Warrnambool Club and one from Castlemaine.
Club member Nathalie has made and decorated cakes for all of our birthdays except the first and was presented with a small gift in appreciation.
To help cut the birthday cake was Elaine Spark from Bendigo who was National Councillor when the club was inaugurated in 2001 and was present at that event.
The only remaining inaugural member Lorraine Wilson is very proud that the club is strong and continues to attract new members. Although we don’t have a Smith Family presence in our town, the nearest participants being Ballarat and Geelong, we know that our efforts are assisting many students around Australia to achieve better educational outcomes.
Currently, our club supports two Learning for Life Students through The Smith Family. We know them only by their first names, Milla and Marayam, and receive updated information on their progress. Milla is now attending university and Marayam is in Year 12.

Embracing Equity in 2023
Three suffragettes greeted members of VA01 zone as they arrived for Heidelberg VIEW Club’s IWD celebration. Suzanne, Roz and Jenny proudly channelled the suffragettes of the past who fought for women’s right to vote. Members arrived wearing the colours of purple, teal and white; suffragist colours and also, fittingly, our VIEW colours. Like the suffragettes of old, VIEW women raise their voices for change for the common good.
