Mornington VIEW Club was formed in 1994.
Currently our Club sponsors seven Smith Family Learning For Life student and actively raises funds for donations to The Smith Family programs.
We are a very friendly and most welcoming group who enjoy meeting monthly in the very pleasant surroundings of the Mornington Golf Club. We have a strong and rapidly increasing membership.
Our social activities include regular guest speakers, coffee mornings and a variety of outings that are both interesting and entertaining. Our members actively support fundraising endeavours to promote the work of The Smith Family. We currently sponsor seven Learning for Life students and contribute to both the Winter Appeal and Toy and Book Appeal with money raised.
We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today.

Our 28th birthday celebration was a lot of fun as we joined in the Make a Spectacle of Yourself competition in order to celebrate the Centenary of The Smith Family.
We were entertained by singer Mandy van Zanen who invited us to sing along with her. Mandy is a wonderful singer and it was a lot of fun to join in the singing. There was also a Secret Spectacle Snooper who selected the three spectacles that will be entered in The Smith Family’s competition.
A raffle was held with three hampers full of lovely nibbles and wine as the prizes. A good time was had by all who attended and now we look forward to July as we are holding a Box Auction which is a lot of fun.

We missed many of our meetings in 2021 due to COVID restrictions but we were pleased to hold our November meeting and also arranged a Christmas Party in early December December.
All members attending were asked to bring along a gift to the value of $5.00 to put in Father Christmas’s sack to be distributed by him. We were lucky that our Assistant Treasure Beverley was able to persuade her husband Bob to help us out.
Mornington Golf Club decorated the tables and the room looked lovely. A good time was had by all and it was a lovely way to finish what had been a difficult year. We are now looking for better things to come in 2022.
27th Birthday Celebrations
We were lucky to be able to hold our 27th Birthday meeting even though we were limited with the numbers who were able to attend due to Covid restrictions. Our theme for the day was Thank you for the Music and we had a colour theme of Black and White with a splash of Red.
A raffle was held with a lot of lovely prizes donated by local traders. Cindy was a wonderful entertainer and the ladies were happy to sing along, thoroughly enjoying the day. The finale of the day was the drawing of the lucky door prize, being the beautiful birthday cake; aptly won by our own birthday girl, Pam, who was also celebrating her own birthday.
Our book club, walking group and monthly coffee mornings are continuing, with regular outings and interesting speakers each month. Unfortunately, we have had some difficulties due to Covid restrictions but are continuing to work hard to support our seven students. New members are always welcome to join our friendly club and enjoy all we offer.

2021 January Update
Due to the Covid-19 virus, we were unable to meet after February 2020, so had to cancel all speakers and activities for the remainder of the year. We kept in touch and connected with all our members by keeping them busy with various games and competitions. Members are now thrilled to be able to hold monthly luncheons, invite speakers, and again participate in the many planned activities.
We have reintroduced our Book Club, and will be starting a new walking group. The regular coffee mornings will continue and various other activities like a picnic at McClelland Gallery Sculpture Gardens and a visit to Mornington Rose Garden for High Tea.
New members are always welcome to join our friendly club and enjoy all we have to offer, as well as contributing to supporting our seven Smith Family Learning for Life Students.
