VIEW’s 60th Anniversary commemorative Tea Towel with its retro design in our purple & teal colours, was inspired by one the first VIEW brochures developed in the 60’s. The Tea Towel also represented a collection of women from various eras reminiscent of the graphics of dress making patterns.
Making and creating is all part of our lives. With COVID-19 stalling the sales of our 60th Tea Towels, at National Convention Adelaide 2022 we shared some examples of how to re-invent the ubiquitous... humble …Tea Towel... into something new…!
We now invite all VIEW Clubs and members to show us how creative and innovative you are... enter our new competition to up-cycle the VIEW 60th Tea Towel!
There are 4 Categories - Best Fashion, Most Useful Accessory, Most Innovative Accessory, Best Group
How to Enter
1. Develop your great idea – and choose your Category!
2. Purchase at least one VIEW 60th Anniversary Tea Towel and include it in your design. 60 and can be ordered on stock order form.
3. Take a photo and send a copy of your design, including: name/s of designer, Club name, Category, design name. Photo must be of high resolution
4. Email your photo to view@thesmithfamily.com.au (no hard copies)

Winners will be announced at VIEW National Convention 2023 in Hobart.

Make a Spectacle Competition
As part of VIEW celebrating The Smith Family’s Centenary, all VIEW members were invited join in the Make a Spectacle competition...
This competition has been loads of fun and proved to be very popular.
Thank you to all who participated in this competition. There were a record number of 383 entries in the four categories Best Group, Most Colourful, Most Humorous and Most Innovative. Congratulations to all entrants. The winners are:

Winner - Carindale VIEW Club (QLD) for their creativity in their individual spectacles and using pool noodles to create spectacles they can all use.
Special Mention - NSW Lower Mid North Coast of NSW and Inland (Area NK) who had all the 180 attendees not only with spectacles but in the photo.
